As an integral member of the Scratch Carnival social casino mobile game team at VGW, I played a multifaceted role as an Associate Producer, dedicating 1.5 years of my career to the project. Beginning as an intern, I swiftly ascended to the role of Associate Producer within just six months, due to my dedication, innovative thinking, and adept collaborative skills.
In my capacity as Associate Producer, I collaborated closely with the Senior Producer in overseeing a dynamic team of 20 game developers, comprising artists, designers, QA testers, and engineers. My responsibilities encompassed the orchestration of sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and the management of tasks using Jira. Through estimation meetings, I ensured the team's efforts were aligned with project timelines and objectives, effectively organising the backlog of tasks and sprint iterations for optimal productivity.
Beyond the realm of project management, I contributed significantly to the Live Operations team, where I played a role in crafting and executing an engaging event calendar. My involvement extended to creating mechanics for events and providing support to the marketing initiatives surrounding these events, fostering player engagement and retention.
One of the highlights of my tenure on the Scratch Carnival project was the opportunity to develop a new feature: the 'Daily Spin.' Taking charge of the entire process from conception to implementation, I designed the feature, calculated odds, designed the artwork, and animated it. Collaborating seamlessly with the development team, I ensured the seamless integration of the Daily Spin feature into the game, enriching the player experience and driving user engagement.
Throughout my journey on the Scratch Carnival project, my unwavering commitment to excellence, creativity, and proactive problem-solving has been instrumental in driving the game's success and fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture within the team.
